some attitudes?

In this great nation of ours, with a glorious past, successors to a great heritage, some obsessions and attitudes are difficult to understand. Two human relationships must indeed be the most respected, valued and protected the world over; mother and sister(daughters don't seem to merit, for some reason the same rank ).
Apparently, everything that we wish to show respect  has this appellation.Goddesses, country, holy animals are all matas and yet the most prevalent abuse, at least amongst the Hindi speaking (includes Hindustani, Urdu and those whose only claim to speaking /knowing the national language is their four-letter vocabulary) relates to utter and unimaginable degradation of this sacred, seminal bond.It does not appear so shocking when you realise that a mother is the most abused relationship anyway. Her lot is looking after and keeping a husband, a son "happy" at any cost, despite ill treatment, emotional blackmail and exploitation. She is expected to make all compromises, all sacrifices, always and forever.

Depression in bay of Bengal

There is no depression in the Bay of Bengal, but there is a depression in my heart.
Techie in Pune,Dabholkar,Pansare,Kulgarhi,Akhlaq in Dadri,90yr old dalit in Bilgaon-Hamirpur.
ISIS,Taliban at work in a different garb.Good normal Muslims depressed over the doings of the mad fanatical Muslims:Good, normal Hindus depressed over the doings of mad fanatical Hindus. Why all the regrets, penance, hurt, the lot of good normal human beings.
The question is not whether there is "a life after death"? It is:IS THERE A LIFE AFTER BIRTH.
